More about Shibaricamp
Arrival is on the 5th and departure is on the 11th of August, 2019.
In Smögen a bit north of Gothenburg in Sweden. It's a little over an hour's drive from central Gothenburg. Busses and trains are available and often people rideshare.
To come to Shibaricamp you need to commit to creating camp, which includes taking care of the people and the place, e.g. helping to clean on the last day. You also need to pay for a ticket, which is 3995:- SEK/person. Application for tickets open on the 1st of May 2019 at 18:00 CET.
You apply for a ticket, and after processing the applications, we let you know if you get one. It is then reserved; it's really is yours first after payment has been completed.
The following is included:
An impressive (we think so anyway) lineup of teachers will bring to life lots of workshops on various matters of rope. Two whole days and two half days will consist of classes. Each class is 90 or 180 minutes long.
We provide basic lodging with hostel standard in bunk beds in rooms of four. Let us know when you apply if you would like to share rooms with anyone in particular.
Toilets and showers are available in a separate building. A hot tub in the garden is fired up every afternoon, and is usually warm by nightfall. The fire keeps going all night.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the fee. There will be fika - a Swedish obligatory social snack time - between the meals, to keep you going all day. If you have needs or cravings beyond that you have to take care of it yourself.
Two different courses are served: one lactose free and one that is adjusted to the needs and preferences of the camp guests, for example vegan, vegetarian, no gluten or no nuts. Please let us know any dietary requirements in the registration form!
If you need it you can get a menu about one week before the camp. Please contact us if you have any questions in this matter and we will forward it to the kitchen. The food is prepared by a warm-hearted group of volunteers that work their butts of during the week without other compensation than your gratitude.
